chief assistants.
(2) An army of 100,000 strong from Shantung under Chang Chung-
chang is now approaching Pang Pu and Pukow (opposite Nan- king) in different directions for the purpose of attacking
Kiangai.
(3) Sun Chuan-fang with all his forces are to stand on the
defensive in Kiangsu, Chekiang, the South of Anhui, and the North of Fukien, attacking when an opportunity offers. (4) 50,000 men from Chang Tso-lin's command will move by the
Peking-Hankow Railway to Wushing Kwan for rendering assis- tance to the existing forces for re-attacking Juchang and
Hankov.
(5) Forces on land and by sea will be used for attacking Krong-
